Mt Zion UMC, the Oldest Black congregation in the Nation's Capital is telling our own story! The church boldly started in 1816 by 125 free and enslaved African Americans of Georgetown. This movie includes captivating dramatizations as well as revealing narratives of key points in our rich and amazing journey of faith.
This church served its people and the Georgetown community for over two centuries. Many of us attending Mt Zion today are descendants. Join us tomorrow on YouTube to view the movie and stay on for a panel discussion.
